DevOps Engineer

Job Description: – Owner of AWS production system environment comprising of Compute, network and storage resources. – Planning, implementing, troubleshooting HA, fault-tolerant applications on AWS – Planning, implementing, maintaining, troubleshooting backup & disaster recovery policies on AWS. – Estimating AWS usage costs and identify operational cost control mechanisms. – Planning, implementing, troubleshooting security and IPSec VPN tunnels to customers. – Lead in and systems, network, storage capacity planning. – Lead technology life-cycle projects including technology evaluation, selection, implementation,     support and retirement/replacement – Develop standards for server technology deployment – Coordinate with other departments – engineering, support, operations to ensure smooth business     continuity. – Monitoring of UNIX (Linux / Ubuntu) servers continuously and resolving the system related issues. – Troubleshoot and resolve complex systems hardware and software/application issues. – Analyze and diagnose system failures recover and restore operating systems and file systems. – Monitor system availability, load, and system capacity. – Shell Scripting for automation of administrative tasks ( backups, disaster recovery, monitoring and reporting/notifications) – Overall Linux administration ( Amazon Linux, CentOS, RHEL, Ubuntu ).   Skills Required: – Hands-on experience operating AWS based applications. – Hands-on experience working with AWS services – EC2, VPC, RDS, ELB, S3, SES, Cloudwatch ( should have complete understanding of security groups, routing tables, ENI, etc.) – Should be well versed with concepts, application, use-cases of cloud computing, virtualization – Linux/Unix, Package/Software management, Shell scripting (Bash), access control management, System monitoring tools e.g. Netstat, Top, VM Stat. – Hands-on experience on ansible. – Intermediate level experience on scripting using python. – Understanding of application deployment patterns and best practice DevOps with CI/CD – Web Application Management: LAMP based applications, Apache Tomcat, memchache – MySQL database administration skills
